Bladen County Schools' Department for Exceptional Children provides special education and related services for eligible children with disabilities, ages 3 to 22, according to the federal mandates of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and North Carolina Public School Law, Article 9 regulations as written in Procedures Governing Programs and Services for Children with Disabilities. Services are provided for students identified as :

The Department for Exceptional Children in Bladen County Schools provides a full continuum of placements to meet the individual needs of exceptional learners. Eligible students with disabilities receive their services in a variety of settings which offer a variety of supplemental supports and specialized instruction.
