S.T.E.A.M. registration now open

Registration for the Bladen County Schools S.T.E.A.M. Camp is now open! Join us for a week of exciting activities, all focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics! July 24-28, 2017, 8:00 AM- 3:00 PM. Cost: $75 per student before July 1; $100 per student after July 1. Slots available for two age groups: Grades 4-5 and Grades 6-8+ (*Rising grade is used for placement) . Fee includes all camp costs. Breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost. Deadline to apply is July 15, 2017. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to register and pay.

Sessions include:

BCS Technology - Use Sphero robotic technology to learn coding and more with Bladen County Schools Technology staff. Other opportunities for engagement will be offered from the technology staff. This segment has been a traditional favorite, and this year will be no different.

NC Museum - Students will get to experience this adventure in Whiteville, where they'll explore natural history. Students will participate in two separate programs here at the museum, in addition to exploring the exhibits and artifacts housed here in their tour. 

Lake Waccamaw - Lake Waccamaw offers students opportunities to explore and learn in a natural, beautiful setting full of vegetation and wildlife. This environmental science adventure promises an exciting experience for all!

Turnbull Creek State Forest - Geocaching? What's that?!? Come find out on this exciting adventure through our local state park. Rangers will lead students! The educational state forest program in NC is described as a living outdoor classroom. What more could we ask for?
