School Uniforms: Our District Culture

The implementation of the school uniform policy adopted by the Bladen County Board of Education in 2012 for middle school students and in 2013 for all students in grades Kindergarten through 12th remains in effect. All parents are encouraged to send their children to school in uniforms.

We believe that wearing school uniforms adds to the culture of our schools and district. Many parents and students have expressed their appreciation for the uniform/ dress code that adds a sense of respect and a scholarly atmosphere. School uniforms help to create a positive learning climate, contribute to safe schools and encourage higher standards of excellence in conduct and achievement. We want our students to “dress for success”.

Students are encouraged to participate in school spirit days which allow the students to wear their school-logoed Tee Shirts on designated Friday’s to promote School Spirit.  Uniform bottoms are still required to be worn on school spirit days.

We believe uniforms send a message to all students that school is a special place where schoolwork is the focus. Join us in maintaining a standard of excellence as the students continue to dress for success in their School Uniforms

Thank you for your continued support of our effort to have students "Dress for Success" and come to school focused on improving their academic skills.
