STEAM Lab Instructor / Teacher Assistant

My career with Bladen County Schools began in 1988 as an adult bus driver and substitute teacher.  In 1994, I worked as a teacher assistant with Exceptional Children Pre-K.   I began working at Bladenboro Primary in January of 1995 as a first grade assistant, then moved to third grade for a year. In 1997, I was given the opportunity to teach students computer skills in a computer lab as an enhancement teacher.  I was the school level technology specialist from 1997 until 2016.  I have managed our school wide fundraisers from 1998 - 2019.  In addition to teaching computer skills and enriching our students' education, I am the school webmaster and have been since Bladen County Schools went online.   An exciting new adventure for the 2021-2022 school year, my position has changed to the STEAM Lab instructor.

My entire career has been in Bladen County Schools where I teach Band and Music at both Bladenboro Middle School and Bladenboro Primary School.

Physical Education Teacher

My teaching career began at East Bladen High School in 1992.  I have been teaching at Bladenboro Primary School since 2001.  I currently serve as the chairperson of our School Improvement Team.  I am the head coach of the Varsity Softball team at West Bladen High School.
