Miss Amy Cox

Hello friends! I’m delighted to join the East Arcadia Panthers this year as your School Counselor. Prior to joining Bladen County Schools, I served my alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, by working in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as an Assistant Director. In that role, I worked to recruit high school students and spent a great deal of time visiting high schools and getting to know students and counselors, which sparked my interest in the counseling field. I am an active member of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the North Carolina School Counselor Association. I also serve on the National Graduate Student Committee for Kappa Delta Pi, an education honor society. I am constantly working to improve my skills and learn more about how I can help. I am happy to assist both students and families in reaching their goals. I teach classroom lessons on topics such as socio-emotional skills and career planning, and I host short-term individual and group counseling sessions. I also chair the Student Support Team (SST) as well as the 504 committee. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns, I am happy to help as education is truly a team effort! Go Panthers! Be well.
