WORK HISTORY

Mrs. Segovia has worked for Pender County Schools, Bladen County Schools, Cape Fear Community College, and Bladen Community College. She is a Spanish Native Speaker and has taught Conversational Spanish for Non Spanish speaking adults at Cape Fear Community College and at Bladen Community College. She has been an instructor of English as a Second Language at both colleges too. She has taught Computer Basic Skills for Spanish Native Speakers at Cape Fear Community College and Spanish Levels, I, II, II, IV, V, Honors Spanish, Honors Spanish for Native Speakers Levels I, and II at Pender High School.

Mrs. Segovia writes the “Learn Spanish” article for the weekly Pender-Topsail & Voice Newspaper under the Education Station. She is author of the bilingual Spanish/English book “EDELMIRA, MIRA… EDELMIRA LOOK…”

Mrs. Segovia was given the title of “Teacher of the Year” on 2016 while working for Bladen Lakes Primary School.

Currently she is working as a English as Second Language teacher at East Arcadia Primary School, Bladen Lakes Primary School, Bladenboro Primary School, and Bladenboro Middle School.
