The Bladen County Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on
Monday, October 14, at 5:00 PM

The State of North Carolina introduces a new simplified application program, NC College Connect for seniors with a weighted GPA of 2.8 or above.

Join UNCP for an Education Day Event at the home football game on October 12. 

NCDPI is asking for stakeholder feedback on K-12 math standards. 

In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, Bladen County Schools is hosting a "Sock-tober" Drive to support affected families in Western North Carolina.

The regularly scheduled BOE meeting on October 14 will begin at 5 pm. 

The BCS District Office is currently closed due to a power outage. 

In response to the anticipated impact of Hurricane Helene, we will transition to an asynchronous remote learning day tomorrow, Friday, September 27, 2024. All schools and departments will be closed.

As we continue to work together this school year, I want to take a moment to recognize and commend each of you for your hard work and unwavering dedication to our students. Every day, you show up with a commitment to make a difference in the lives of children, and your efforts do not go unnoticed.

Bladen County Schools (BCS) continues to see positive academic growth in the 2023-2024 school year, with 83% of schools meeting or exceeding expected growth, up from 75% the previous year.

Bladen County Schools has been recognized for its outstanding performance in the NC Teacher Working Conditions Survey achieving the highest percentage in two of the eleven categories among all school districts in North Carolina.

Bladen County Schools kicked off the 2024-2025 academic year with enthusiastic participation from students, families, and staff during Open House events at all traditional calendar schools. The energy was palpable as the schools welcomed back their communities for another exciting year of learning and growth.

Bladen County Schools is grateful for the outstanding generosity demonstrated by Smithfield Women Connect and the Tar Heel employees during their recent “Stuff the Bus” event. Their contributions will have a significant impact on the educational resources available to our students.

Bladen County Schools is excited to announce that Ms. Georgia Spaulding, principal of East Bladen High School (EBHS), has been named Principal of the Year for Bladen County Schools

Operation changes due to the anticipated severe weather from Hurricane Debby.

A resolution unanimously passed by the Bladen County Board of Education at their July 2024 meeting regarding the prioritization of public schools. 

Bladen County Schools is pleased to announce that Mr. Bobby Godwin will be the new principal at Elizabethtown Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year.
