    School grading policies were modified by the NC State Board of Education for the 2019-2020 academic year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Please review the chart as it provides an explanation of the grades that may appear on your child’s report card under the final course grade (F1).   • Summer Meal Delivery by Bus Begins June 15

    Students may not be in school during the summer months, but they still need healthy and consistent meals! For a variety of reasons, the reality is that many Bladen County kids are not always getting the meals they require outside of their school's care and a hungry child cannot thrive. As we break for the summer, our Child Nutrition Department will continue serving our students through its Summer Feeding Program, which begins Monday, June 15.

  • NCHSAA Lifts Dead Period

    Effective June 15, the NCHSAA will lift the current Dead Period, provided each Local Education Agency (LEA) gives its okay and permission to do so. It is to be understood that Superintendents and local Boards of Education control when they will allow activities to resume in athletic facilities and venues.

  • High Schools Finalize Graduation

    School staff, in collaboration with the Bladen County Health Director and the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, have developed a graduation that respects the dignity of the ceremony while allowing as much traditional participation for each family member as possible. While Bladen County Schools would prefer a traditional graduation, current restrictions only allow for a modified ceremony.
