Mr. Francis Ash
CW3(R) "Chief" Francis Ash began teaching at West Bladen in 2019. A native of Richmond, Virginia, he enlisted in the United States Army in February 1997 as a 13M (Multiple Launch Rocket System Crewman) and completed his Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Sill, OK. After his training he remained at Fort Sill, and was assigned as an Ammunition Specialist in Alpha Battery 1st Battalion 12th Field Artillery. CW3 Ash has served in numerous leadership positions, to include Africa Deployment Assistance Partnership Team – Ground (ADAPT-G) Unit Movement Instructor to the Burundi Military Defense Forces Bujumbura, Africa, Malawi Defense Forces Salima, Africa, as part of a new program designed by US Army Africa (AFRICOM), 2nd Infantry Division, Division Targeting Officer, Field Artillery Intelligence Officer (FAIO), Field Artillery Radar Tech, Field Artillery Target Acquisition Platoon Leader, Field Artillery Support Platoon Sergeant, AFRICOM LNO Nairobi Kenya, Field Artillery Fires Platoon Sergeant, Senior Drill Sergeant, Field Artillery Fires Section Chief, Field Artillery Ammunition Section Chief, and Staff Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) for 1st Infantry Division, Assistant Division Commander for Maneuver (ADCM).
