East Bladen High School recently opened their year-end juried art show to the public. The students were eager to show off their talents and artistic abilities, with the show featuring over 150 entries. The students were instructed by art teacher Ron Warren. The attendees enjoyed a reception as they viewed the various types of art mediums on display.
The Prism Award of Excellence, as well as the Best in Show Award, was given to Brandon Ventura for his colorful and meticulous colored pencil creations, featuring his depiction of the "War Horse".
"His drawings are crazy, crazy good, and are some of the best I've ever seen," said Ron Warren.
Cassidy Watts was also given the Prism Award of Excellence for her phenomenal creations.
"There's something really special about her...an incredible talent," Warren stated.
This annual art show is much anticipated every year and garners rave reviews from the public for the talents of the students.
