The Bladen County Board of Education, upon recommendation by the Superintendent, approved Mr. Daniel Nolan as the new Chief Finance Officer for Bladen County Schools at its regular scheduled meeting on Monday, February 9.

Daniel Nolan brings more than a decade of financial leadership experience to his role as Chief Finance Officer for Bladen County Schools. Nolan joins the district from Columbus County Schools, where he currently serves as Chief Finance Officer. He previously served as Chief Finance Officer for the Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, where he also oversaw the finances of Thomas Academy.

Daniel and his wife, Danielle, share a three-year-old son. He is an active member of Lake Waccamaw Methodist Church and a proud member of the Waccamaw Siouan Tribe. While Columbus County will always be home, Daniel is excited about this new chapter in Bladen County and the opportunity to build strong relationships within the community. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors—especially hunting, fishing, and the occasional round of golf.

Nolan shared, “I would like to thank Dr. Atkinson and the Bladen County Board of Education for allowing me the opportunity to serve as the Chief Financial Officer of Bladen County Schools. I look forward to partnering with the team and supporting the district’s mission to serve students, staff, and families well.”  Nolan will begin his position on Monday, April 13.
