Principal Kristy Smith, along with educators Trista Watkins and Whitney Lee, had the honor of presenting at the NC School Improvement Planning (NC SIP) conference.
Their session, SDI in Action: Aligning Inclusion, Resource, and Core Instruction for Student Success, showcased the innovative work happening at Elizabethtown Primary School to support students with disabilities through Specially Designed Instruction. From scheduling strategies to inclusive learning models, these educators are making a real difference for every student. 🎉

Due to the threat of inclement weather, the special-called meeting of the Bladen
County Board of Education originally scheduled for Monday, March 16, has been
rescheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 6:30 PM, in the boardroom at the District Administration Building.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and take action on seeking the closing
date of East Arcadia School. There will be no other items on the agenda.
Due to the threat of severe weather in our area and out of an abundance of caution, Bladen County Schools will transition to an asynchronous remote learning day for students and an optional workday for staff tomorrow, Monday, March 16.
Asynchronous learning means that students will work independently on assignments that teachers have either posted in Canvas or Google Classroom.
Staff will receive information about the optional workday from their supervisors later this evening.
All after-school events and activities are cancelled for Monday, March 16. Additionally, the special-called Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday has been postponed until Tuesday, March 17, at 6:30 PM.
Thank you and please stay safe.

By sharing ideas and strategies, we continue to grow in our ability to challenge, inspire, and nurture advanced students. Investing in professional learning helps ensure every gifted learner reaches their full potential.

Thanks to the Poe Center for Health Education and Trillium for partnering to bring substance abuse awareness to families and students of Bladen County Schools! They hosted sessions at Elizabethtown Middle School, East Bladen High School and West Bladen High School. Great information and great sessions!

For the month of March, we have highlighted artwork from students at Bladen Early College High School. Their creativity, imagination, and hard work are on full display, bringing color and inspiration to our office walls. 🌟
We look forward to celebrating student artists throughout the year—another way we’re highlighting the many gifts and talents of our students.
Good Luck! 🍀
