West Bladen High School is excited to announce the 2026 Junior–Senior Prom, themed “An Evening at Gatsby’s Mansion.” Prom will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at The Venue at Barefoot Farms in Bladenboro, NC.
To ensure prom is a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for everyone, please carefully review the following important guidelines and expectations:
Formal Dress Code
Formal attire is required for all students and guests. Dresses and suits must meet all school dress code guidelines. Excessive cleavage, overly high slits, improper cutouts, sagging pants, jeans, or t-shirts are not permitted. No pinning or taping will be allowed to alter a dress that does not already meet dress code requirements. Administration will make final decisions regarding appropriate attire. Students who do not meet dress code standards will not be allowed entry.
Tickets, Dues, and Guests
Prom admission is covered by junior and senior dues, which must be paid by March 6, 2026.
Non–WBHS guests must be approved, be under the age of 21, and require a $40 guest fee and completed guest form by March 6, 2026.
Behavior & Safety
Prom is a school-sponsored event. All school and county discipline policies apply. Any use or possession of drugs, alcohol, or weapons will result in immediate removal, school consequences, and possible legal action. Law enforcement will be present inside and outside the venue.
Entry & Attendance Rules
Students and guests must present a ticket and photo ID to enter. Once admitted, no re-entry will be allowed. Students or guests with felony charges may not attend. No refunds will be issued for any reason.
Forms & Deadlines
The Prom Dress Code & Guidelines Form must be signed by the student and parent/guardian and returned to Mrs. Elliott (Guidance) by March 6, 2026.
👉 Forms may be picked up from the Front Desk or the Guidance Office.
Students will not be permitted to attend prom without completed and signed forms.
Please take time to review all guidelines carefully and plan accordingly. Our goal is to provide an elegant, safe, and unforgettable prom experience for everyone.
If you have questions about attire or expectations, please see Ms. Lennon for clarification.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
Sincerely,
WBHS Prom Committee
🚌The two-hour delay will allow temperatures to rise, providing safer and more comfortable conditions for morning transportation.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning—please stay warm!

Because of our students, staff, and community donors, we surpassed our goal and collected even more donations than we did at our last Blood Connection drive. That matters in a real way. Every unit of blood can help someone fighting for their life, a trauma victim after an accident, a patient in surgery, a mother experiencing complications, or a child receiving ongoing treatment. In those moments, blood is not something that can be made or replaced. It has to be given.
Thank you to everyone who stepped up to donate and to those who helped make the drive happen. You did more than meet a goal. You helped save lives.
