On October 21, 2026 the CTE Business teachers and CTE Support Staff collaborated with Terri Dennison, BCC Small Business Center Director. Terri brought and taught resources to use in our CTE Business classes. The CTE Business teachers related those resources to the objectives taught in their classes and will welcome Terri during the Spring 2027 semester to begin facilitating those resources. The CTE department looks forward to the opportunities our students will get by expanding collaboration with the BCC Small Business Center!

Notice of Special Called Joint Meeting with County Commissioners
The Bladen County Board of Education will hold a special called joint meeting with the Bladen County Board of Commissioners on Monday, October 12, 2026, at 7 pm.
The meeting will be held in Commissioners’ Room, located on the lower level of the Bladen County Courthouse, 106 East Broad Street, Elizabethtown, NC.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the School Resource Officer (SRO) program and other school funding matters.

Notice of Time Change for the Board of Education's Regularly Scheduled October Meeting
In accordance with NC General Statute 143-318.12, the Bladen County Board of Education is providing notice that the start time for its upcoming regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, October 12 will change from 6 PM to 5:30 PM. The meeting will be held in the boardroom at the District Administration Building.
This will be an official meeting and action items and personnel matters will be on the agenda, as per NCGS 143.318.11 (a) (1); and to consult with an attorney, if needed, as per NCGS 143.318.11 (a) (3).

Inference is an important reading skill that asks readers to use clues either from the text or personal background knowledge to figure out something the author doesn’t directly state. The EPS Detectives 🔍 put this to practice, carefully investigating the library “crime scenes” for clues and evidence to solve the case!
