🌟Students Take the Lead During Upcoming Conferences

Next Thursday (October 16), following early release, Bladen County Schools will host district-wide Student-Led Conferences.

Aligned with the Leader in Me framework, these conferences provide students a powerful opportunity to take ownership of their learning. They will lead conversations about their learning, progress and goals. Families will have an opportunity to ask questions, celebrate achievements, and partner with their child to plan next steps.

Our student-led conferences encourage leadership, reflection, and shared celebration of growth!

Yesterday, our Elementary Student Advisory Council met with Superintendent Dr. Jason Atkinson and Deputy Superintendent Ms. Ann Brown, to share their perspectives on what’s working well in their schools and the challenges they see.

These student leaders represent voices from across our elementary schools and provide valuable feedback that helps shape the student experience. The council meetings also give students an opportunity to ask questions, offer suggestions, and see leadership in action.

👮‍♂️🐾 Bladen County Schools welcomed a very special visitor today!

Bladen County's very own SafetyPup is making the rounds and stopped by to visit our district office, Elizabethtown Middle, Elizabethtown Primary, and Dublin Primary this week. SafetyPup is part of the National Child Safety and Drug Prevention Program, which helps students learn important lessons about topics like stranger danger, traffic safety, and drug prevention—all in a fun and memorable way.

We are grateful to Sheriff James A. McVicker and his team for their continued partnership and dedication to keeping our students safe while teaching them how to make responsible choices.

We can't wait to see where SafetyPup pops up next!

🏅Today, West Bladen's AD Brett Jackson accepted the Ejection Free Award for West Bladen High School at the NCHSAA Regional meeting. West Bladen had no one ejected from athletic contest during the 2024-2025 school year.

Presenting at today's meting was Bladen County Schools District Athletic Director and East Bladen's Athletic Director (AD) Patty Evers. Coach Evers is serving her last term on the NCADA Board of Directors.

We are proud of the sportsmanship, leadership, and commitment to excellence shown by our student-athletes, coaches, and athletic staff.
