What a great week of basketball! Our student-athletes brought their A-game and showed incredible sportsmanship on the court.
Monday - Girls Tournament: Elizabethtown Middle School defeated Clarkton School of Discovery in a hard-fought matchup, while Bladenboro Middle School came out on top against Tar Heel School.
Tuesday - Boys Tournament: The boys brought the energy! Bladenboro Middle secured their win against Tar Heel School, and Clarkton School of Discovery pulled off a victory over Elizabethtown Middle School.

The Bladen County Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, January 12, at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the District Administration Building.
This is an official meeting and action items and personnel matters will be on the agenda, as per NCGS 143.318.11 (a) (1); and to consult with an attorney, if needed, as per NCGS 143.318.11 (a) (3).

A huge thank you to Carvers Creek Methodist Church for providing such an amazing spread for our honored guests. We're also grateful to the EAST Beta students who joined us to show their appreciation through jokes and a fun skit that certainly brought the smiles!

Carolina is a dedicated leader who excels both in the classroom and beyond. Maintaining strong grades across all her classes, Carolina serves as a leader in the JROTC battalion and is an active member of the Student Government Association. She competed on the cross country team and currently contributes to the Color Guard, Raiders, and Drill teams. Her commitment to West Bladen High school and community events, combined with her polite manner and dependability, makes her a positive example for peers throughout the school.

Using Oreos, these students created each phase of the moon to show their understanding of how the moon changes throughout its cycle. Hands-on learning (and a little frosting fun!) makes science stick! 🍪✨

Bladen Early College High School Civics students created review games from concepts learned throughout the semester, including the US Constitution, US Presidents, the legislative process, and the legal system. 📚 Games include Declaration of Influence, How a Bill Becomes a Law, Trial and Error, Jeopardy Bingo, and Constitutional Race. What a creative way to reinforce learning! 🎯
